The central design elements are fountains created by fuming two separate gathers of clear glass with tin oxides which are iridized in the furnace creating a rainbow of sparkling color. The fountains are then cased in a gather of clear glass. A translucent, ruby colored glass rod is then torched onto the clear casing and the design is spun, twisting the ruby rod around the fountains. Our Mercury Fountain is a tribute to the bravery of Americas original seven astronauts. 2.5" W x 7.5" W
