Faux Cloisonné pins are also called hard enamel pins. They are die struck and then hand filled with colored enamel. Next, they are heated to harden the materials. After curing, the surface is polished flat and smooth on a grinding wheel. This is the highest quality type of enamel pin available and the most labor intensive to make.
