Opaque and transparent colors are applied to a gather of clear then fused in the furnace. The colors are twisted around the circumference to produce the variety of images one would see in a kaleidoscope. Available with or without an engravable marble base or ask about our new 3D Holodomes. The kaleidoscope was invented by Sir David Brewster in 1814 while conducting experiments in polarization using circles of mirrors with loose beads and bits of glass. 6.5" W x 5" H
